The FOCUS schools are excited to be a part of the Alabama Department of Public Health's annual "Rally for Awareness". The rally is held in April at Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center in Talladega, AL.  Plans are underway to replicate the rally in other areas of the state.

A key feature of the rally includes student-led break-out sessions. Topics, selected by FOCUS students, have included the prevention of HIV/AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Infections, depression, teen pregnancy, prescription drugs, tobacco use,  and alcohol use and abuse. tudents have also assisted in planning a health fair with local community and state agencies.

Area individuals, agencies, and businesses have sponsored the rally. Plans are underway to schedule the 2008 rally.
