Mrs. Sharlene Key, Assistant Director Sharlene Key graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management. Sharlene is Assistant Director of the FOCUS Program.
She is the Co-founder of Ole Pete Key Incorporated. Ole Pete Key, Inc. uses music, drama, and motivational teachings to educate youth on good decision making. Sharlene was responsible for breaking The WAIT Project into the Public Health and Educational arena. She was instrumental in a workshop designed for educators, administrator, and counselors entitled, “You Got to Reach Them to Teach Them”. This workshop was presented to the Departments of Education for the States of Alabama, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Working in Corporate America for over 15 years in Customer Relations for AT&T Communication, Sharlene has acquired the knowledge and the communication skills to relate with people from many facets of life. She has a passion for people and ultimately wants to see our youth make good decisions that lead to good outcomes. As the Assistant Director of the Focus Program, she is able to be a part of the solution for reducing at-risk behaviors instead of being just another voice in the choir singing about the problem.
She is the wife of Pete Key. They have two beautiful daughters, Erin and Joi Key. The Key family’s mission is to make a difference. They currently reside in Northern Alabama but travel through out the State of Alabama, as well as the United States, conveying a message they believe can make a difference in someone’s life.
